This December the first Malaysia International Guitar Festival takes place at the MTC Auditorium. Guitarists and enthusiasts from all over the world showcase their talents and celebrate the best in guitar music.
During the day and into the evening a series of concerts and workshops play host to artists from countries including Stan Zamfirescu (Romania), Don Alder (Canada), Jorge Orozco (Spain), John Goldie (the UK) and Robert Wang (Malaysia). Workshops focus on electrical duets, finger techniques, the classical guitar and acoustic shredding.
The Malaysia Fingerstyle Guitar Competition offers cash prizes as well as a handcrafted guitar.
