Trinidad's sister isle, Tobago stages its very own festivities in its capital of Scarborough. Organized by the National Carnival Band Association (NCBA), the festival promises costumed parades, wil parties and general merriment.
This event was introduced to boost tourism and provide excitment on the island for those escaping cold weather in the Northern Hemisphere. It kicks off with Night Mas, a feature of the annual carnival in Trinidad. As the name implies, this activity takes place after sunset when it is cool and masqueraders can dance through the streets in comfort.
