In upgrading the quality of service providers, there are various institutions that offer training and education in tourism. As a field of study, participants would need to understand:

a) the complexities of definition
b) mass consumption societies and demand for tourism
c) continuities in the history of travel and tourism
d) technological impacts from the Industrial Revolution to virtual reality
e) psychosocial analysis of the tourist experience
f) tourism and cultural preservation
g) tourism and international understanding
h) tourism and social change the economic impacts of tourism
i) trends in the development of travel and tourism

These are just some examples of the coursework and samples of applications within the tourism industry. In being aware of the above, this sets the key principle of providing the highest level of client service consistent with its second key principle of conducting all business with absolute integrity at all times.
