| The Commonwealth Tourism Centre (CTC) team, comprising Director General, Director (Marketing) and an Executive Officer attended WTM which was held at EXCEL, London from 6 - 9 November 2006. The aim of the visit was to touch base with National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) from Commonwealth countries to introduce the Centre and to update them on the activities carried out. The CTC officials met and held discussions with 13 NTOs, mostly from the African nations and the Caribbeans. They were given copies of the CTC Handbook. The CTC team was also fortunate to be able to meet Tourism Ministers from Tanzania and Guyana who were pleased to note of the existence of CTC and the role it is playing in the promotion of intra Commonwealth travel. They assured us of their support and cooperation towards the Centre. The Director General also called on YBM Dato' Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Minister of Tourism at the Malaysian pavilion. |
