The year 2006 saw CTC receiving several important guests starting    with Mr. Nikhil Treebhoohun, Advisor & Head (Trade Section) of the Special Advisory Services Division of the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Later in August, CTC was honoured with the visit of H.E. Mr. Tomasi Vuetilovani, Minister of Transport & Tourism of Fiji Islands.

Others who visited the Centre included Dr. John Rowett, the Secretary General of the Association of the Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Commonwealth participants who attended the NTO Marketing Seminar in September, H.E. Mr. Mpumelelo J.N. Hlophe, the High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Swaziland and H. E. Mr. David Njoka, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya and guests from the airlines, Tourism Malaysia and local tour operators during the Destination Africa briefing organised by the Commonwealth Tourism Centre.

ABOUT THE CTC

The First Commonwealth Tourism Ministers Meeting held from 19-20 March 2004 in Kuala Lumpur endorsed Malaysia's proposal to set up a Commonwealth Tourism Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
